BIO: Lisa Freeman is a lifelong abuse survivor. She is a survivor of childhood sexual abuse, was both bullied and the bully in school, and she became a victim of teenage dating violence. Dropping out of school in the 7th grade she ran away, lived on the streets for more than two years, where she was homeless, penniless, and starving. She was kidnapped, raped, forced into dancing, and prositution by a Human Trafficking ring in Atlanta, Georgia. She miraculously survivied from that as well as two abusives marriages; one of domestic violence, the other of inces of her children. Every member of her family has been bullied or abused in some form, even the dogs, but have all healed. A motivational speaker, she shares their inspiring stories in school workshops and assemblies as well as in church and community seminars throughout Michigan and the USA. Her award-winning thrilling book for teens and book for young adults, "Run for Your Life" is based on her true miraculous story of being a teen runaway and making some really poor choices that nearly took her life. She encourages others, espeically abused teens and abused women to make better choices in dating relationships--to run to life--not the things she did!
Today she lives in Michigan with her loving husband, John (20+ years), her two grown sons, and four rescue dogs.
