SPRING DOG CLASSES
Spring is coming! And with that beautiful thought in mind, it's time to get our puppies and dogs into training. Whether you have a brand new puppy or a dog that needs a refresher course, socialization, behavioral modification, basic or even more advanced training, we can help.
Due to tough economic times and those families struggling to make ends meet, we have kept our prices low. Right now, for only $60 you can bring your pup or dog into a six-week training program that will teach you important training commands, teach them to obey you, and develop a closer bond with them at the same time.
OLD DOGS & PUPPIES TOO
Although it’s been said, “You can’t teach, an old dog, new tricks,” I believe the exact opposite.
Dogs never stop learning. And if we don’t keep them socialized, active, and obedient, they begin to display unwanted behaviors like growling, biting, marking, jumping, humping, chewing, and bolting.
Puppies should begin a training program as soon as possible too, or they might have poor social skills and develop aggressive behaviors.
BAD BEHAVIORS & AGGRESSION
Does your dogs have behavioral problems? Most dogs and pups do. But dog’s are like kids. They just need to be taught what’s acceptable and what’s not.
In my classes owners will learn how to take control and become the leader of the pack. When we don't assume this leadership with our dogs they can become more anxious, fearful, and even aggressive.
Although many trainers use treats for rewards, I mostly use positive reinforcement. I find that using treats all the time makes puppies and dogs way too excitable. Treats are great for teaching new commands, but our ultimate goal is to show owners how to get their dogs to obey them without food.
CLASSES FOR ALL
I'll be offering a variety of basic as well as advanced classes for both puppies and dogs: Puppy (AKC Star Puppy), Basic and Advanced Dog Training (AKC CGC), as well as Testing for CGC and Community Canine. I might even consider Rally and Agility if people are interested. Let me know.
